A COUPLE who were gifted a brand new house on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway have enjoyed a first look around.

Petra and Simon Williams, from Northumberland, were left speechless after being handed the keys to the three-bedroom semi-detached house live on the programme.

Days after the life-changing announcement, the couple were welcomed into their Killingworth home by Maria Seed from housebuilder Bellway.

Their daughters Emelia-Paige, five, Layla-Grace, three, and son Bailey, two, had been given a sneak preview when they were filmed on the sofa during Saturday night’s show.

Petra, 31, and Simon, 33, were nominated by their friend Nikki Pinchen to receive the prize, which Ant and Dec themselves had a hand in building.

Following the death of their daughter Darcey-Leigh, Layla-Grace’s twin, from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome at just nine-and-a-half weeks of age, Petra started a charity called Darcey’s Dream, which supports bereaved families and siblings. Petra works full time for the charity for free and the family relies on Simon’s income from working six days a week as a delivery driver.

Petra said: “The house is a dream come true, we’re over the moon. We were gobsmacked, speechless, and I’m very rarely speechless, but we can’t believe Bellway built and gave away a house to us on Saturday Night Takeaway.”
