THE Met Office has issued a yellow warning for snow and ice which covers the whole of Cumbria until at least 10am tomorrow.
The warning was issued amid reports of heavy snowfall in some parts of the county, including between junctions 37 and 38 of the M6, making driving conditions hazardous.
The Met Office said tonight that the icy conditions will affect some roads and railways, with longer journey times by road, bus and train services.
There are likely to be some icy patches on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths, so anybody who is out and about should take care.
