HER Royal Highness, The Princess Royal has today visited Teesside today.

After a visit to The National Museum Of The Royal Navy in Hartlepool, she also visited The Meadowgate Intermediate Care Centre in Eston, to officially open the new £5 million centre designed to help people recover and regain their independence after a hospital stay and prevent hospital admissions.

She also visited, in her role as President of the Riding for the Disabled Association, the Unicorn Centre in Hemlington, Middlesbrough to open the Paul Conway Therapy Room and the riding simulator Blackberry.

Paul Conway rode at the centre for many years and is named in his memory after he passed away in 2018.

Blackberry allows riders to develop and enhance their skills indoors and The Princess Royal was given a demonstration by Olivia Fairclough.

She also watched a series of riding displays, while also handing out awards and rosettes.
