FREEVIEW users across parts of the region and in North Yorkshire may lose access to a number of channels as a TV mast is updated.
As part of a major engineering programme which is being carried out region-by-region between now and mid-2020, Bilsdale transmitter will be updated next month.
Between midnight and 6am on Thursday, March 12, viewers may find they are missing channels and will be required to retune their TV equipment to continue full access to channels.
A spokesperson for Freeview said around 520,000 homes are served by the Bilsdale transmitter, which faced engineering work last November.
Those who require advice regarding retuning are urged to visit freeview.co.uk/tvchanges or contact the Freeview Advice Line on 08081-000288.
