POLICE investigating a crime spree in East Durham have now arrested five people.
The arrests were made in connection with a spate of burglaries and other crimes in the Peterlee, Horden and Blackhall areas.
On Sunday, officers arrested and charged one suspect with various offences and said other suspects had been identified.
Peterlee Police said: "We can now confirm that five persons have now been arrested and charged, with four of these being remanded to court.
"Again many thanks to members of the public for providing information which has lead to this result."
