A MOTORIST was injured after his car was knocked into a ditch alongside the A19 by another vehicle that failed to stop.
North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information about the suspected fail-to-stop crash which happened on the A19 at Crathorne, North Yorkshire.
The incident occurred on the north-bound carriageway at around 12.05am on Friday, February 21 and involved a black Vauxhall Corsa and an unknown vehicle which did not stop at the scene.
The driver of the Corsa, a 23-year-old man from Hartlepool, suffered a slight cut to his head and whiplash after his car came off the road and overturned in a ditch. He was treated by paramedics.
The car had to be recovered and the road was clear by 1.15am. The Highways Agency assisted with the incident.
Police are seeking witnesses to the incident or for the driver of the other vehicle to come forward to help the investigation. Call 101.
