ROAD closures were put in place after a gas leak at a Thornaby Industrial Estate.
Cleveland Fire Brigade attended the scene on Fleck Way in Thornaby last night and the gas board was contacted to rectify the issue.
Cleveland Police said on Tuesday night: "There is a strong smell of gas which is blowing towards the nearby housing estate, however, officers would like to reassure members of the public that the issue is expected to be rectified very soon."
