A VISITOR attraction better know for its sheep and array of farmyard animals is adding a Jurassic dinosaur to its collection for this half-term.

Dora the Dinosaur has arrived at Hall Hill Farm, near Lanchester, and will remain until Sunday.

During the week visitors will have the opportunity to meet Dora, and join or watch several dinosaur activities including craft, dinosaur trail, dinosaur race and puppet show.

Visitors are also able to enjoy the usual farmyard favourites including fluffy chicks, donkeys, goats, pigs, sheep and rabbits. as well as both the indoor soft play and outdoor play areas open.

Ann Darlington, tourism development manager at Hall Hill Farm said: “Although not a traditional farm attraction Dinosaurs are a firm favourite with our visitors and will create a fun environment for our visitors next week to explore everything on offer at Hall Hill Farm.

“I’d like to thank all of our visitors, many of whom return time and time again, for helping us to create a fun environment for everyone to enjoy at Hall Hill Farm. As well as our brilliant team of staff, who are a tremendous asset to our business, and who make a massive contribution to our success.

“This year we are installing an additional play area increasing the number of individual play zones to nine. "This new outdoor zone will include a massive new slide tower and toddler play area and should be open in March in time for the better spring weather."

In recent years, new developments at Hall Hill Farm include a sledge track, climbing wall, crazy golf, outdoor play area, indoor play barn, jumping pillows, donkey rides and barrel train.

Hall Hill Farm will open daily from 10.30 am until 4 pm during the February half-term school holidays.
