A 16-year-old boy is in a stable condition after being stabbed while five more young people have been injured with a BB gun.

Three 18-year-old men have been arrested.

Police were called to the incident just off Kingfisher Avenue, Stockton, at around 9:30pm yesterday.

Upon arrival, police found a 16-year-old male suffered a stab wound to his abdomen and his back and a wound to his face.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics and was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening and he is currently in a "stable" condition.

Five young people also suffered wounds from a BB gun.

A 15-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl both received treatment at the University Hospital of North Tees.

Police have arrested three males aged 18 in connection with the incident and all remain in police custody at this time.

Officers know that a number of young people were at the property at the time and they would ask anyone with information regarding the incident to contact them on 101, quoting event number 25830.
