THE A1(M) has been cleared after a caravan flipped on its side, blocking the road.
A traffic officer helped to clear the road after the incident, which happened at junction 58 of the A1(M) today.
It happened at junction 58, just before 2pm and involved a single vehicle, which had a caravan in tow.
Durham Police were called to the incident but it had already been dealt with by a highways traffic officer, who was able to pull the caravan onto the hard shoulder, a police spokeswoman said.
The road is now clear.
