A BODY has been found in the search for a missing man from Darlington.
Police officers have confirmed that they found a body in Geneva Woods as part of a search for missing man David Allinson.
Mr Allinson had gone missing on Saturday.
A Durham Constabulary spokeswoman said: “We are sorry to report that a body has been found in the search for missing man, David Allinson.
“The body was found in Geneva Woods, in Darlington, at around 8.25am yesterday (February 2).
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.”
