POLICE have issued a warning to the public after some potentially dangerous railway detonators were stolen.
They were taken overnight between Wednesday and Thursday from a compound on Boathouse Lane in Stockton.
The eight to ten yellow detonators could potentially be dangerous in the wrong hands, say police.
Officers are warning anyone who may come into contact with them to be vigilant in order to stay safe and avoid any injuries.
Diesel and high powered lighting equipment and other items were also stolen.
Anyone who may have been offered the items for sale or anyone with information regarding the burglary is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting 011770, or by calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
