DRUGS have been seized following raids on properties in Stockton.

Stockton neighbourhood police team were targeting suspected drugs activity in the Parkfield area. 

Officers carried out a warrant search at an address in Waverley Street today, where a quantity of suspected Class B drugs were recovered.

No arrests have been made at this time. 

Yesterday, a warrant was executed at an address in Camden Street but no recoveries were made.

Following the raid of Camden Street officers continued to patrol the local area.

They spotted a man in his 20s – not related to the address which had been raided – but believed to be acting suspiciously.

Officers pursued and detained the 22-year-old man and a quantity of suspected Class A drugs were recovered. The man was arrested for possession with intent to supply and released under investigation.

Sergeant John Sproson said: “Drugs cause misery in communities and we encourage people to tell us about any suspected drug activity in their area.

“We’ve followed up on community intelligence and concerns reported to us to execute two warrants and to plan patrols.
