POLICE have launched a plea to parents following a spate of arson attacks and antisocial behaviour in Coxhoe.
Officers said there has been an increasing number of incidents in the area.
A police spokesperson said: "As your neighbourhood policing team we are working in partnership with local agencies including County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service and Durham County Council's neighbourhood wardens, to prevent further incidents.
"As a plea to all parents and guardians over the next week could you ensure that you know where your children are within the village."
Anyone with any information about the arsons or antisocial behaviour should contact police on 101, quoting job number 285 of 20/01/2020 or email durham@durham.pnn.police.uk
