A FRESH appeal for information and CCTV footage following a suspected arson attack on a Vauxhall Astra and Ford Transit has been launched.
The incident, which happened on George Stephenson Boulevard in Hardwick, Stockton, left two vehicles gutted by fire at around 10.50pm on Sunday.
Police launching a new appeal for information, said four people dressed in dark clothing had been sighted at the time of the incident but left in the direction of Piper Knowle Road.
After the incident, one resident told The Northern Echo that she had heard "a loud bang" before noticing the vehicles were ablaze.
She said: "Thankfully, no one was hurt. It was really frightening to think what could have happened."
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police urged members of the public who may have CCTV footage, or had witnessed anything from the night, to get in touch with the force on 101 and quote 006563.
