AN air ambulance was called to Hurworth, near Darlington, on Wednesday morning following a sudden death in the village.
Police and the ambulance service also attended the scene at an address on Collyers Close.
A Durham Constabulary spokeswoman said: "We were called by the ambulance service at 10am this morning to reports of a sudden death at an address in Hurworth.
"The death is being treated as non-suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
