JOHN Wright's family have released a new photo of him and are directly appealing to the public for any further information that may help assist officers in their investigation, today.

John sadly died as a result of a reported incident on Parliament Street in Stockton just after 1pm on Sunday December 29.

His family said: "John was a much loved dad, brother and uncle from a family that loved and adored him.

“John always had a story to tell and there was always a story behind him. He had a heart as big as the ocean and a smile as wide as the sky. All we have left now are memories."

They added: “As a family, we would urge anyone with any information regarding his death, anything at all, even if you think it’s not important, to please contact police as you could provide vital information to help the investigation. 

“We would also like to send our heartfelt gratitude to the teams that tried to save John’s life. Knowing they tried everything they could to save him is comforting to our family!

“We would also like to thank the police who from the start have been nothing short of amazing.

“We love you John and miss you dearly. Your heartbroken family.”

Two men aged 20 and 21 were arrested and charged with murder and are set to appear at Teesside Crown Court on Monday January 27.
