HUNDREDS of fitness fanatics took to the streets to kick-off their New Year regimes in celebration of a studio’s second anniversary.

Customers and staff at elite:Together – a brand which offers fitness and weight loss programmes – danced to Uptown Funk during a flash mob event at Framwellgate Bridge, in Durham City.

Its Belmont studio has helped customers lose 23,000 pounds since it opened its doors in 2018.

Many of dancers attributed their success to the studio and shared their stories of transformation.

They hope they have encouraged the people of Durham to put their health first.

Elite:Together has five studios across the North in Newcastle, Cramlington, Durham, Leeds and Stockton.

One of the the business’s customers is Laura Katie Oakley, who started training at the Stockton branch in January 2018.

Miss Oakley has lost nine stones with elite:Together and said she could not have achieved her goals without its help and support. She said: “It’s like one big family who share your success.”
