THE following cases were heard at Newton Aycliffe and Peterlee Magistrates' Courts in the last week.

JONNY GREEN, 31, of Woodlands Terrace, Nettlesworth, was found guilty of being drunk and disorderly on North Road, in Darlington. He was made to pay £50 compensation.

CALLUM JAMES GOODWIN, 26, of Jutland Avenue, Hebburn, was found with 2.94grammes of amphetamin Durham Railway Station. The drugs were seized by police and fined £40. He was also fined £32 to fund victim services. He was also in court after he used threatening or abusive words or behaviour during the incident.

CARL NICHOLS, 35, of Eden Lane, Peterlee, pleaded guilty to stealing air fresheners from Home Bargains, in Peterlee. He was fined £40 and ordered to pay £85 to The Crown Prosecution Service. Nichols was also made to pay £32 to fund victim services.

ASHLEA PINDER, 28, of Wedgewood Road, Seaham, was sent to prison for four weeks after she stole Confectionary, to the value of £60, belonging to Tescos. She also was arrested after she assaulted a man and stole Christmas lights, to the value of £175. Pinder as also caught by police in possession of a bladed weapon. Pinder pleaded guilty and was made to pay £60 compensation.

MARTIN ALAN WILSON, 33, of Corporation Road, Darlington, was convicted after he stole razor blades and bottle of Baileys, from Morrisons Supermarkets. He was given a community order which involved drug rehabilitation. He also stole, meat products and alcohol, belonging to Aldi. Wilson was also made to pay £91.75 compensation.

LEE ANTHONY BARKER, 36, of Woodlands, Kelloe, was given a community order and he failed to comply with a previous community order made by Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court. He was also given a curfew requirement and made to wear an electronic tag.

ELLIOTT CRAWFORD BROWN, 24, of Skerne Park, Darlington, was up in court after he failed to comply with requirements of a community order. He admitting the breach and was was given a curfew and made to wear an electronic tag.

CALLUM JAMES BASNETT, 23, of Meadowbank Drive, Choppington, was disqualified from driving for six months after he was convicted of being drunk in charge of a vehicle. He was also fined £80 and made to pay £32 to fund victim services.

BRIAN JOHN IRVING, 51, of South View, Ushaw Moor, was caught with 76 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on Valley View, in Ushaw Moor. He was disqualified from driving for 17 months and fined £300. Irving was ordered to pay £32 to fund victim services. Irving was made to pay £85 to The Crown Prosecution Service.

BAILEY JAY JOHNSON, 19, of Middlewood, Ushaw Moor, was disqualified from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £85 to The Crown Prosecution Service. He was also fined £100 and made to pay £32 to fund victim services.

MARTIN THOMAS RATHBONE, 54, of Mond Crescent, Billingham, was disqualified from driving for 12 months after he was caught driving under the influence of alcohol. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £45 to The Crown Prosecution Service. He was also made to pay £32 to fund victim services.

DEAN BILLY MADDISON, 35, of Gent Road, Bishop Auckland, was caught driving whilst disqualified from holding or obtaining a license. He was disqualified from driving for ten additional months and ordered to pay £85 to The Crown Prosecution Service. He was also made to pay £122 to fund victim services.

CAROL-ANNE BAINBRIDGE, 52, of Ballol Green, in Newton Aycliffe, was given a community order for fraud after he dishonestly failed to disclose information to Durham County Council information. He was made to pay £85 to fund victim services to pay £85 to The Crown Prosecution Service.

CRAIG DIXON, of Braemar Terrace, Peterlee, was up in court after he stole £150 of garden ornaments. The 34-year-old was made to pay £150 compensation.

SHAUN RAFFERTY, 32, of South Magdalene, Consett, pleaded guilty to driving whilst under the influence of alcohol. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay a £280 fine. Rafferty was also made to pay £85 to The Crown Prosecution Service and £32 to fund victim services.

NATHAN LEE DODSWORTH GRANT, 29, of Maurice Cullen Close, Shotton Colliery, was sent to prison for six weeks after he repeatedly breached a restraining order by visiting a prohibited place.

MICHAEL BURDEN, 40, of Bradford Crescent, Gilesgate, was found guilty of driving whilst disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence.He was sent to prison for 18 weeks and ordered to pay £155 to fund victim services.

JOHN WARREN COULSON, of Richmond Court, Sacriston, discharged conditionally for six months after he damaged a black Nissan whilst intending to damage or destroy property. The 50-year-old was made to pay £320 compensation. He was also made to pay £85 to The Crown Prosecution Service.

DEXTER LEE CREIGHTON, 27, of Gouldsmith Gardens, Darlington, was up in court after he was caught driving whilst under the influence of alcohol. Creighton was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £350. He was also fined £35 to fund victim services.

PAUL MARTYN KNOX, of Kinross Drive, Stanley, was handed a restraining order after he used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent. The 33-year-old was fined £80 and made to pay £32 to fund victim services.

DANIELLE JADE STREET, 27, of Edendale Crescent, Howden-le-Wear, was disqualified from driving for 18 months after he was caught driving under the influence. Street was fined £120 and made to pay £32 to fund victim services. She was also made to pay £85 to The Crown Prosecution Service.

RYAN GAVIN WIFFEN, of Beech Avenue, Spennymoor, after he attempted to damage a police car with intent. The 21-year-old indicated a plea of guilt and was given a community order. He was also made to pay £100 compensation and £85 to The Crown Prosecution Service. He was also up in court after he assaulted a police officer.

JOHN MATTHEW MACKAY, 24, of no fixed address, was made to pay £50 compensation after he assaulted a police officer acting in the exercise of his functions. Mackay was also made to pay £85 to The Crown Prosecution Service.

ANDREW SCOTT GRIFFITHS, 37, of Westerhope Court, Darlington, pleaded guilty to driving whilst under the influence of a controlled drug which exceeded the specified limit. He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving license for 12 months and ordered to pay £85 to The Crown Prosecution Service,
