A MAN is due to appear in court following the death of a man in his 60s, who was found dead following a house fire.
The man was found dead inside a house just before 8pm, December 27, on Stephens Street, South Bank, Middlesbrough, by emergency services after they were called to a fire.
A spokesperson from Cleveland Police confirmed a 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of the murder and was last night charged with murder and one count of fraud.
He is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court this morning, Tuesday December 31.
Police say they are still appealing or anyone who may have information which could help their investigation.
