Body is pulled from river
A BODY has reportedly been pulled from a river in a North Yorkshire village after being discovered this morning.
The High Street in Great Ayton was closed in both directions due to the incident for several hours while recovery efforts were ongoing by emergency services.
A body is understood to have been recovered from the River Leven across the road from Stokesley Butchers.
North Yorkshire Police have not yet commented on the incident.
