BURGLARS forced their way into homes on Britain's biggest army camp and stole household items North Yorkshire Police have revealed.

They're now warning people to be on their guard and appealing for help from witnesses or residents who may have information about the break ins at Fourth Avenue, in Colburn, Catterick Garrison to contact them.

Police said yesterday the burglaries took place on the evening of Saturday December 14 with entry forced to two homes and small items were stolen including cash, cameras and jewellery.

A spokesperson said: "We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
