THE following cases were among those heard at Newton Aycliffe and Peterlee Magistrates’ Court during the last week.

MARK COLIN BURR, 39, of Geneva Road, Darlington, was given a suspended sentence after he used threatening or abusive words or behaviour with intent. He pleaded not guilty but was made to pay £200 to The Crown Prosecution Service and made to pay £233 compensation.

CRAIG CUNNINGHAM, 40, of Ladysmith Street, Bishop Auckland, admitted breaking a community order made by Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court and was given a further community order.

TONY CATHERALL, 38, who is currently inside HMP Northumberland, was found guilty of stealing three Newcastle United Football Shirts from Sports Direct in Consett. He was made to pay £160 compensation.

WAYNE HUDSPETH, 38, who is currently at HM Prison Holme House, was up in court after he damaged wing mirrors on six occasions with intent to destroy. He was also found guilty of damaging a side panel of a Kia Sportage and damaging a living room window. Hudspeth was given a four-week prison sentence and made to pay £50 compensation.

MARK ALAN TAYLOR, 50, of Geneva Road, Darlington, pleaded guilty to driving whilst over the speed limit. He was given three penalty driving points and fined £40. Taylor was also ordered to pay £30 to fund victim services.

THOMAS TODD, 60, of Standerton Terrace, Stanley, pleaded guilty to stealing a bottle of Lambrini belonging to Iceland Foods. He also used threatening or abusive words or behaviour and refused to leave Admiral Casino when asked to do so. Todd was given a suspended sentence and made to pay £115 to fund victim services.

PAVEL BEPERSC, 33, of Brighton Road, Darlington, was conditionally discharged for 12 months after he damaged a downstairs rear kitchen window to the value of £200. He was given a restraining order and made to pay £200 compensation.

LIAM JOSEPH BLAKEY, 37, of Osbourne Avenue, Leeholme, pleaded guilty to possessing a Class A drug. He was discharged conditionally for six months and made to pay £21 to fund victim services.

JAYDEN LENNON LEE, 18, of School View, Durham, was found guilty of driving whilst under the influence of cocaine. He was fined £120 and made to pay £32 to fund victim services. Lee was also made to pay £85 to The Crown Prosecution Service.

LORNA MCFARLINE, 29, of Brunell Way, Darlington, pleaded guilty to assaulting a man and was given a community order. She was also made to pay £100 compensation.

ADAM JOHN BOLAM, 40, of Ellis Road, Trumpington, was found guilty of being drunk and disorderly in a public place. He was fined £40, made to pay £32 to fund victim services and £85 to The Crown Prosecution Service.

ROBERT PAYNE, 31, of Attlee Estate, Tow Law, was up in court after he was caught drink driving on the A68. He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 36 months.

SARAH LOUISE STONE-BARRETT, 38, of Essyn Court, Easington Village, was given a community order after she pleaded guilty to failing to comply with breath analysis after driving. She was also disqualified from driving for 12 months.

KARL JOHN BARKER, 32, of Fulthorpe Avenue, Darlington, was given a community order after he admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour during an incident on November 11. He was also given a restraining order which banned him from contacting the victim.

JONATHON JAMES CRAWFORTH, 41, of Nelson Terrace, Darlington, was up in court after he drove whilst under the influence of a controlled drug which exceeded the specified limit. He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving license for 12 months and ordered to pay a £120 fine. He was also made to pay £32 to fund victim services and £85 to The Crown Prosecution Service.

DANIEL ANTHONY LITTLEWOOD, 34, of Finkle Street, Bishop Auckland, was disqualified from driving for 36 months after he was caught drink driving. He was also given a community order, made to pay £90 to fund victim services and £85 to The Crown Prosecution Service.

LEWIS MONTGOMERY, 22, of Beadnell Close, Darlington, was made to pay £80 after he was caught in the possession of cannabis.

LEWIS STANLEY HALL, 25, of High Carr Road, Durham, was given seven driving points after he pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention.

Neil MCCORMACK, 40, of Silkin Way, Newton Aycliffe, was found guilty after he stole a £34.99 foot pedicure set from Peaseway Medical Centre. He was given a community order and made to pay £34.99 compensation.

ANTHONY SHOULDER, 28, of Wensleydale Square, Bishop Auckland, was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months after he was caught drink driving.

LEE GEORGE GREAVES, 27, of Brougham Street, Darlington, was given a community order after he pleaded guilty to driving whilst under the influence of a controlled drug which exceeded the specified limit. He was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving license for 12 months and made to pay £85 to fund victim services.

EUGEN CATRINOI GEARGHI, 32, of Hercules Street, Darlington, was disqualified from driving for 36 months after he was caught drink driving. He was also fined £120, made to pay £32 to fund victim services and ordered to pay £85 to The Crown Prosecution Service.

CHRISTINE ARKLESS, 36, of Tudhoe Moor, Spennymoor, was fined £660 after her child failed regularly to attend school. She was also made to pay £120 compensation costs.

ANDREW WILSON, 42, of Runcie Road, Bowburn, was given a community order after he was caught drink driving. He was given a community order to undergo alcohol rehabilitation treatment and made to pay £90 to fund victim services. Wilson was also made to pay £85 to The Crown Prosecution Service.

PAUL MARTYN KNOX, 33, of Kinross Drive, Stanley, was discharged conditionally for 12 months after he used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour during an incident on November 22.
