HEARTBROKEN friends of Naomi Buckle have paid tribute to the young mum who has been named as the passenger in a fatal car crash near Ripon.

On Friday December 6, 20-year-old Naomi Buckle of Catterick Garrison was a passenger in a white Audi RS3 which was travelling between Ripon and Risplith, when it crashed into tree near to Grantley Hall.

Very sadly Naomi died at the scene due to her injuries.

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses or information about the crash which happened at 2.15am on the B6265 near to Ripon.

The driver of the car, a 21-year-old man from Richmond, was arrested in relation to the incident and has since been released under investigation.

Friends of Ms Buckle have set up a Go Fund Me page in her memory and wrote that her unexpected death has left them heartbroken.

They add: "A few of us are doing this fundraiser to show our support to Naomi’s family at this devastating time, and so that Naomi can rest in peace knowing her family has support around them.

"Rest in peace you beautiful soul."

The fund has already raised more than £2,000 for Ms Buckle's fammily.

Police are appealing for anyone who might have seen the white Audi RS3 at any time between 11pm and 2.15am, travelling from Catterick towards Risplith to contact them.
