A19 closed northbound after car flips onto roof
THE northbound carriageway of the A19 was closed on Friday morning after a car flipped onto its roof.
The accident happened between A182 Hall Walks (Easington) and A182 (Murton Interchange, Murton).
The accident resulted in three mile queues and delays of 30 minutes.
Traffic was also said to be heavy in Easington, South Hetton and Easington Lane as motorists sought an alternative route.
The road has now reopened.
