POLICE have released CCTV footage of three people they want to speak to in connection with an aggravated burglary in Gateshead.
Officers are investigating an incident during which two men and one woman entered a property in Warwick Court and stole £70 in cash.
When challenged by the male occupant of the address, one of the suspects assaulted him and threatened him with a knife.
The thieves then fled the scene.
The man was not injured in the altercation.
Northumbria Police are now appealing to the public to identify the people on the footage as they are believed to have been in the area at the time of the incident.
Enquiries to identify those responsible are ongoing but images of three people officers want to speak to have been released.
Those in the images, or anyone who recognises them, is asked to call Northumbria Police on 101 quoting log reference 1047 121119, report information via the force's website or contact independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555111.
