A DASHCAM footage appeal has been launched by police after an 11-year-old girl was hit by a car at home time on Wednesday afternoon.
At around 3.45pm, police recieved reports that a pedestrian had been hit by a car in Eaglescliffe near Stockton.
The incident, which involved a white Vauxhall Corsa, allegedly took place on Yarm Road at the junction with Sunningdale Drive.
Police investigating said the 11-year-old was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough after suffering a minor head injury.
A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said the 11-year-old had since been released from hospital and the force had now launched an appeal for witnesses.
She said: "Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any dash-cam footage is asked to contact PC Jayson Morris via the non-emergency number 101, quoting the event number 204318."
