POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man suffered stab wounds in Norton.

Officers believe that the incident occurred at a property on Violet Close, before the injured man made his way to a second property on Waterford Road at around 8.10pm on Wednesday, October 23.

A 26-year-old man who was found with life-threatening stab wounds remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Police believe that there may have been witnesses on Milburn Crescent around the time of the incident.

Four men, three aged 29 and one aged 35, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and bailed whilst enquiries continue.

Three other men aged 33, 34 and 46 were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and they have been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.

A 33-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and she has also been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.
