A SPONSORED walk between two football grounds will raise money for a stalwart of both clubs.
Dean Midas Maynard, Bishop Auckland Football Club chairman Steve Coulthard and Two Blues legend David Bayles will walk from Hall Lane, in Willington, to Heritage Park, Bishop Auckland, on Saturday to raise money for Richard Tremewan.
In February, Willington AFC's chairman Richard Tremewan suffered a life changing stroke and a bleed on the brain.
In order to help further with his rehabilitation, money raised from the walk will go towards purchasing a MOTOmed bike for strengthening his core and to improve movement in his legs.
Mr Tremewan was also chairman at Bishop Auckland between 2013 and 2016.
Mr Maynard said: “Richard means so much to so many people. The football community is coming together to help raise funds, for not only a dear friend, but a legend of a man.”
