A COMMUNITY has rallied together to search for a missing man.

David Lindley was last seen in the Spennymoor area on Thursday, November 21.

Concerned residents have created a group on Facebook to find Mr Lindley and will take part in a search at Spennymoor Town Hall tomorrow at 10am.

A spokesperson from his family said: "Davey left Ivy Close on Thursday, November 21, at 5.45am.

"He was walking down towards the direction of Aldi in Spennymoor.

"He has not been seen since and is not in the right frame of mind at the moment.

"We can’t thank each and everyone enough for what they are all doing, we thank them from the bottom of our hearts."

The 48-year-old is described as being around 5ft 3in, of slim build and was wearing a black striped shirt, dark blue jeans, brown leather boots, khaki parka jacket and a black woolley hat.

Search group member Kirsty Leanne Russell said: "We want people to get together as a community and find this man for his family, I’d hate it if nobody wanted to help look for my family member. All we want is for Davey to be back home with his wife."

Anyone who has seen Mr Lindley or knows of his whereabouts is asked to call Durham Police on 101 quoting incident number 186 of November 21.
