A DRIVER of a car that was involved in a three-vehicle crash in Darlington town centre has been taken to hospital with injuries.
The incident, which happened on the A167 on Northgate at around 2pm, led to the closure of the road in both directions, causing traffic to build across the town.
A black BMW, Citroen C1 and an Arriva Bus were all involved in the crash between Gladstone Street and Corporation Road.
In an update, police said it is believed a black BMW lost control and collided with the Citroen, which then collided with the Arriva Bus.
A spokesperson for Durham Police said the driver of the Citroen has been taken to hospital after sustaining injuries.
At around 3.30pm the road was reopened to traffic in both directions.
