CRIMESTOPPERS is reminding people who may know the whereabouts of a woman's body that a £10,000 reward is being offered for crucial information.

The charity has renewed its appeal for information about the suspected murder of Naheed Khan from Thornaby.

Ms Khan was last seen around Friday, May 4 2018 and has not accessed her bank account since May 6 2018.

The 43-year old disappeared shortly before becoming a grandmother for the first time.

Crucially, her body has never been found.

In March this year, Crimestoppers offered a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for her murder.

Now – to assist investigators further – they are appealing for information specifically about where Naheed’s body may be located.

A reward of up to £10,000 is being offered for information the charity receives that leads to identifying the location of her body.

Ruth McNee, regional manager at Crimestoppers, said: “This is such a sad case and our hearts go out to family and friends affected by Naheed’s suspicious disappearance.

“Whilst this may appear something of a mystery, we believe there will be someone, somewhere who is in the know.

"We are appealing directly to you to please do the right thing.

"Naheed was a loving mother, daughter, sister and aunt.

"She has missed out on seeing her granddaughter Aria. Her disappearance has been treated as a murder investigation since January 2019.

“Anyone who wants to say what they know without speaking directly to the authorities can use our charity’s unique service.

"We take crime information from people every day and we make a huge difference by helping to keep communities safe thanks to information we receive.

"Everyone who contacts us stays 100 per cent anonymous. Always."
