THERE are just days left for Tees Valley residents to have their say on the priorities and proposals for the future of travel across the region.
The draft Strategic Transport Plan, which went out to public consultation in August, includes £257million of schemes to improve transport in the region.
It covers all forms of transport, from roads, rail and air to buses and sustainable travel such as walking and cycling routes.
The plan also considers the freight needs of businesses.
The Combined Authority’s head of transport, Tom Bryant, said: “This Strategic Transport Plan is a huge piece of work which is central to how we’re going to deliver our vision of a high-quality, clean, quick, affordable, reliable and safe transport network that serves every corner of Tees Valley.
“No matter how people get about – by car, bus, train or cycling – there is something in here that will be important to everyone.
"It’s vital that we get the views of as many people as we can, so I’d ask them to take this last chance to check out the consultation and get in touch with their feedback.”
The deadline to comment on the proposals is November 20 and submissions can be made via Teesvalley-ca.gov.uk/consultations where further information about the plans can be found.
