Police are appealing for information after four fiberglass snowmen have been damaged in three seperate incidents over the past few days.

One of the sculptures was damaged outside of Debenhams on Saturday November 2 between 5pm and 7pm, when youths pushed the sculpture over.

In a seperate incident on Sunday November 3 a group of four male youths tried to remove a snowman scultpure from its base outside the flannels store.

The suspects were described as three white males and one black male all four riding bikes and wearing tracksuits, two of which were wearing baseball caps and all are believed to be between 14 -16 years old.

On a seperate occasion on Tuesday November 5 at around 8.20pm a group of three male youths completely removed one of the snowmen from its base in Captain Cooks Square.

They were described as being white and aged between 14 - 18 years of age, all on foot wearing tracksuits with hoods pulled up. One was wearing a white jacket with black patches on the shoulder.

Another sculpture was damaged outside Middlesbrough Town Hall on Friday November 8 when the fixtures were tampered with, causing it to become loose and fall.

Police do not believe the events are linked are asking anyone with information to to get in touch by calling PC Kate Rowland on the non-emergency number 101
