The team from Chester-le-Street made an appeal to find Travis Dickinson, who normally resides in the area.

Mr Dickinson, who is 6ft tall and well-built, is thought to have shaved his head in order to avoid detection.

A police spokesperson said: "We want to talk to Travis Dickinson about an assault in October and an alleged theft yesterday where a bank card and money was taken.

"He is well-known to us and normally resides in the Chester-le-Street area.

"Mr Dickinson is 6ft tall and well-built.

"He is believed to have shaved his head in order to avoid detection, but has a distinctively crooked nose which may be harder to disguise."
