STAFF at a Spar store were threatened at knifepoint during a morning robbery which saw the suspect make off with a quantity of cash.
Police officers are appealing for help to trace the car which is believed to have been used in the robbery this morning.
The incident happened shortly before 8.25am at the store on Wolsingham Market Place.
It is thought the suspect was driving a white five-door Citroen C1, registration number NX18 VAU, which is believed to have been stolen.
The suspect is described as being around 5ft 11in tall, and was wearing a black fleece, black sunglasses, black tracksuit bottoms and grey trainers. He was carrying a pink reusable carrier bag.
Anyone with any information on either the whereabouts of the car, or the suspect, should call police on 101, quoting incident number 61 of October 28.
