FIVE men will appear in court today charged with murder following the weekend death of a man found seriously injured outside a town hall.

Solomon Robinson was suffering stab wounds when found outside Scarborough Town

Hall, in St Nicholas Street, at 2am on Sunday.

The 26-year-old, from Scarborough, was taken to hospital in the seaside town but was pronounced dead.

Amid investigations into the fatal stabbing North Yorkshire Police have since arrested ten people on suspicion of murder.

Five men, two aged 18, and one each aged 20, 21 and 22, all from Scarborough, have been remanded in police custody and are to appear at York Magistrates’ Court today charged with murder.

A 16-year-old boy, plus four men, two aged 20, and one each aged 21 and 28 have been released on conditional bail.

Detectives investigating Mr Robinson’s death continue to appeal to anyone who has any information, images or video footage which may assist the investigation, and who has yet to come forward, to submit it online to the Major Incident Public Portal: mipp.police.uk/operation/12XN19A52-PO1.
