CELEBRITY hairstylist Lee Stafford will be coming to the region for a special employers’ event and to officially open a new hairdressing academy named after him.

East Durham College will be hosting Lee at its Peterlee Campus, from 6pm to 8pm on on Monday November 25.

The event will give salon owners and professionals hairdressers the opportunity to see Lee live on stage as he demonstrates new and contemporary ways to style long hair.

The evening is free of charge and is open to employers, their staff and those interested in hairdressing.

Lee will also be officially opening East Durham College’s Lee Stafford Hairdressing Academy, which has been running from September.

On the Level 2 hairdressing course, students are taught by EDC’s leading teaching professionals, following a selection of carefully crafted hair ‘recipes’ provided by Lee Stafford Education. Students are provided with full recipe books and videos created by Lee, which complement the teaching at the college.

From his early days cutting hair in his mother’s dining room, Lee has gone on to be one of Britain’s most successful, multi-award winning hairdressers.

Always with a passion for education, Lee has managed to find the time to teach thousands of other hairdressers all over the world in his seminars and shows that sell out globally. Lee Stafford Education was created to enable college training teams to be the inspired hairdressing teachers and for students to excel in their learning, imagination and ultimately, their employment.
