THE Teikyo Festival returned to Durham to celebrate Japanese culture.
Teikyo University opens its doors to the public every year so people can experience everything from origami and calligraphy to traditional folk dance, music and martial arts.
This weekend, guests enjoyed a tea ceremony, tasting Yakisoba – which is a noodle stir-fry dish – and trying on a Yukata, which is a casual summer kimono.
There was also a chance to learn some basic Japanese.
Money was raised for local charities through donations.
