THE fireworks display at Darlington's Northern Echo Arena is to be held again this year, on Tuesday, November 5.

Tickets are on sale for the popular fireworks event, which is held by Darlington Mowden Park RFC.

The rugby club announced that the event would return after last year's show attracted over 3,000 spectators - and there are expected to be more this year.

The 2019 show will include a fun fair to cater for a wider family audience, with an expanded capacity to accommodate more people.

Mowden Park’s event manager Danny Brown said: “We're delighted to be hosting our third annual Fireworks Spectacular at the Arena this year.

"We've listened to feedback from previous years and made some changes. We very much look forward to welcoming everyone to a safe and fun evening.”

The event started at the Arena in 2017, six years after the plug was pulled on the popular South Park fireworks event, which stopped in 2011 due to council budget costs and the £100,000 cost.

The tickets can be purchased from the Arena or the Dolphin Centre or by calling 01325-350267.

Tickets are £6 for adults and £3 for under 16s, plus a booking fee from https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/darlington-fireworks-tickets-74270189135. A limited number of on-site car parking spaces are also available to purchase online for £5 per car. For accessibility seating enquiries, call 01325 350267.

We have two sets of family tickets (two adults and two U16s) to give away
