A MEETING to discuss the future of a Teesside town is to be held at The National Museum of the Royal Navy tomorrow (Thursday).
NMRNH Re-defined is to take place in Hartlepool with members of the public invited to have their say on the future of their town and museum.
As part of the meeting, University of Northumbria School of Architecture staff and students will present drawings, plans and models of possible buildings in the town.
Clare Hunt, curator of the museum
Roslyn Adamson, general manager of the National Museum of the Royal Navy in Hartlepool, said: “The National Museum of the Royal Navy is at the heart of Hartlepool’s regeneration and we are committed to developing a collective vision for the town, alongside the town’s partner bodies.
"But it’s crucially important for us to listen to the views of the community.
“We’ve arranged this special evening on October 17 so that everyone who lives and works in Hartlepool can visit for free and explain their own ideas for potential developments on this site.”
At the event, which will take place from 6pm until 7.15pm, university staff and students will discuss the future of the town, along with National Museum of the Royal Navy staff, trustees and businesspeople.
Those who want to attend the event must register at www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/redefine-nmrn-hartlepool-closing-event-tickets-76003595801 or search 'Re-define' at Hartlepool on Eventbrite.
Tickets to the event are free of charge.
