A ROAD linking two Darlington villages together will be shut for a month for resurfacing.
Darlington Borough Council are currently undertaking maintenance works and resurfacing on the Great Stainton to Bishopton road.
A full road closure will be required to carry out the works starting from 7am on Monday, October 14.
The work is expected to last for about four weeks.
An alternative route will be signed via Elstob Lane, to Bishopton and vice versa.
Access to local residents properties will be maintained wherever possible.
During the closure, the Scarlet Band service 20, which operates on Mondays only, will operate to Bishopton and return via Little Stainton, omitting Great Stainton.
