Police road closed
A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash on the roundabout at the Carrville Interchange, with the A1(M) on Thursday.
A Durham Police spokesperson said: "We received reports of a road traffic accident on Junction 62 with the A1(M) at 3.40pm on Thursday.
"A VW Scirocco and Kia-Ceed have collided. There was minor damage to both vehicles.
"A woman was taken by ambulance to the University Hospital of North Durham."
The road was closed for a period for the vehicles to be removed. It has now re-opened.
A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service said: "We transported a woman by ambulance to the University Hospital of North Durham, after she had been extricated from her vehicle."
