ROAD closures remain in place after a tanker overturned on the A66 in South Bank this morning.
The tanker tipped over on A66 westbound between Whitworth Road and B1513 Old Station Road, at the roundabout near Asda, Middlesbrough.
Cleveland Police said they were notified at 8.45am, and Cleveland Fire Service have been at the scene to make it safe after reports of a fuel leak.
A spokeswoman for Cleveland Police said: "The tanker overturned near SG Petch garage in South Bank.
"There were no injuries but only one lane of traffic is open while we deal with the tanker, which will take some time because it was full of fuel when it overturned, so it will have to be emptied before it can be removed."
