IF you’re ready to move on to A-Levels, but are unsure if staying on at school to study, or going to a dedicated sixth form is best for you, take a look at what New College Durham has to offer.

As one of the largest Sixth Form Centres in County Durham, New College Durham has a reputation for success, offering a wide choice of subjects, expert teaching, individual support and help to progress to university or employment.

The Northern Echo:

Every September, more than 150 young people from across the region choose the College’s outstanding A-Level programme, with excellent facilities that promote a positive learning environment.

You will be learning in an outstanding environment, equipped to ensure that you develop the knowledge, skills and values required to thrive academically, and to progress on to higher education or into employment.

New College Durham achieved a fantastic 100 per cent pass rate in 20 subjects in the summer of 2019, which is consistent with equally high achievements in previous years - all the result of the dedicated teaching of our experienced subject staff, the excellent personal and academic support they provide and, of course, the commitment and hard work of the students.

It's not just about achieving A-Level qualifications – students are encouraged to play an active role within the classroom, and in the many extra-curricular opportunities that are available.

If you are in Year 11, and still not sure about your next step, come to the Open Day and see for yourself. Students and parents will have the chance to look around, ask questions, and learn from previous students and staff why New College Durham is the right choice.
