POLICE have released a picture of a man they would like to trace after two reports of incident exposure.

Officers received two similar reports on the evening of Monday, September 30, relating to a man who had indecently exposed himself to young girls.

Shortly after 4pm, it was reported that a man had approached a teenage girl in the Station Road area of Washington and exposed himself, before leaving the scene.

Officers received a similar report at 5.35pm after a man exposed himself to a younger girl in Urban Gardens.

An investigation was launched and police are treating the incidents as linked.

Officers have spoken with both victims and their families to offer support.

Now, following a number of enquiries over the last few days, police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incidents.

He was believed to have been in the area that the offences were committed and could have information that can assist officers.

The man, or anyone who recognises him, is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 894 300919 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Alternatively, you can email the officer in charge at 3969@northumbria.pnn.police.uk.
