The A688 between Bowburn and Thinford was shut due to animals on the road
TRAFFIC is returning to normal after a busy route was shut early this morning due to animals on the road.
Police shut the A688 both ways between the A1(M) Junction 61 at Bowburn and the A167 Thinford roundabout from around 6am to 635am.
All lanes have since been re-opened and traffic, which was initially heavy due to the delays, is said to be flowing as usual for a Monday morning.
