At around 5.43pm on Thursday, September 19, a white Ford Transit and a black BMW were involved in a collision on the A6055 (old A1) near Leeming Bar, North Yorkshire.
Police said the Ford Transit, which had been travelling towards the A1M interchange collided with the BMW travelling in the opposite direction towards Leeming Bar Services.

Police said the driver of the Ford Transit, suffering serious injuries, was also taken to the James Cook University Hospital, along with two passengers from each vehicle, one of which had also suffered serious injuries.
It is now believed that none of the injuries are believed to be life threatening.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "Officers spoke to witnesses at the scene, however anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dash cam footage and has not yet spoken to the police is urged to come forward.
"We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen either vehicle being driven near to the location prior to the collision."
