AN INVESTIGATION into how a young man died after his car collided with a tractor in the early hours of September 2 is ongoing.
Jim Mcelvaney, 20, died after his white Nissan Navara pick-up truck and a JCB tractor, which was towing a trailer, collided on the A172 close to Chestnut Farm, Great Busby, near Stokesley.
Hundreds of mourners attended his funeral at the parish church in Stokesley on Thursday. There were trucks laden with flowers for the young man, who was from Tame Bridge, near Stokesley, on the town's High Street as mourners gathered.
Police are hoping for anyone who either witnessed the crash, or saw either vehicle beforehand, to contact them.
They are particularly interested to speak to anyone who might have captured dashcam footage.
