TWO men have been charged after an armed robbery at a convenience store earlier this week.
The men are believed to have been involved in the armed robbery of the One Stop convenience store in Eaglescliffe on Monday, September 9.
A 30-year-old man has since been charged with robbery, possessing a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.
A second man, a 27-year-old has also been charged with robbery for posessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
Police said two further women, who had been arrested, have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
- The men will appear before Teesside Magistrates Court today (September 11).
